How to display size of All folders in Finder Window on Mac

Most of the Mac users prefer to use list view in Finder, it makes things easier as it provides plenty of information about files and folders such as File type, modified date, size etc. However one thing you won’t find while using this view is the size of folders. In this guide, I will show you how to make the Finder to show the sizes of folders in any particular Finder window.

How to view the size of folders in Finder window

Step 1: Open Finder.

Step 2: Select the List view in the Finder window.

Step 3: In the Finder menu at the top, select View ❯ Show View Options. Alternatively, you can press command + j to open it.

Step 4: Check the option Calculate all sizes as shown in the screenshot below.

That’s it. You can now see the size of folders next to them in the list view.

Alternatively, if you want to check the size of a particular folder then you can right click the folder and select Get Info or press Command + i. This will show you the size of that folder.
