When I migrated from Windows to Mac, I faced a trivial issue, my Chrome window accidentally got in full screen mode and I was unable to come out of it. This is simple issue that most of the Mac beginners face. In this guide, we will see how to enter into full screen in Mac and how to exit full screen in Mac OS X.

Exit full Screen in Mac OS X by hovering mouse pointer to the top of the screen

To exit the full screen, all you have to do is to hover the mouse pointer to the top of the screen and you will see a green button in the top left corner of the app as shown in the following image. Just click that green button and you will come out of the full screen. This same button is used for entering in the full screen mode and by clicking that button again we exit the full screen mode.

Note: You will only see this green button when you move the mouse cursor to the top of the screen.

Exit full screen using Shortcut key in Mac OS X

By pressing Command + Control + F together you can exit the full screen mode of any app and the same combination is used for entering into full screen.
