How long has my Mac been running?

If you want to check how long your Mac has been running then you are at the right place. In this guide I will share two methods to check your Mac uptime.

Method 1: System Information

One way to check the Mac uptime is through System Information. To access system information, press Command + Space then type System Information and hit enter. You would see a window like this: Click on the software in the left sidebar, on the right panel, you can see the “Time since boot” field that tells you how long has your Mac been running.

Method 2: Using Terminal

  1. Open Terminal. To open it press Command + Space, type terminal and hit enter.
  2. type the following command in terminal and hit enter. You can now see the system uptime in the terminal itself.
    uptime
  3. uptime_command_line
